Corinthians striker Alexandre Pato has confirmed he had an offer from Tottenham last month. The former AC Milan ace is reviving his career at home in Brazil.

"I received the bid, they called Corinthians, sent a fax to recruit me during the window, but I sat down with my staff, talked to my agent and I told them I wanted to stay," Pato told Sportv.

"I wanted to help Corinthians to fight for a place in the Libertadores."
