Copenhagen keeper Grabara on Ryan rift: No regrets; we shook hands after WC

FC Copenhagen goalkeeper Kamil Grabara has spoken of his feud with former teammate Mat Ryan.

Ryan was mocked by Grabara after an error in the World Cup with Australia and has since left FCK for AZ Alkmaar.

Former Liverpool goalkeeper Grabara, who is a target for Bayern Munich, told Bold: "It was probably completely unnecessary, wasn't it? If people are given another chance to do the exact same thing, most will probably have changed it.

"It was unnecessary, but I don't regret it because I had full control over what I did, so I can't really say I regret it.

"It is a bit like killing someone and regretting it afterwards. Did I need to write that? No, of course not. But to be honest, I'd be happy to be the person to blame.

"You can either be honest or make people think you are honest. If you had been fair, you would probably have asked what my reaction was to another person's stupid comment."

Grabara was reacting after Ryan's claims of bias in the former being selected ahead of him at FCK.

Grabara continued: "The first day we came back from the WC, I shook his hand. Don't get me wrong because I think he is a good goalkeeper and I wish him all the best.

"I have been happy with the competition, but have you ever seen me go out and say that it was about political reasons? No, well. If I am in sharp competition with someone and I can clearly see that I am not the best, I will be the first to admit it."
