Sunderland striker Jordan Cook is keen to extend his loan spell at League One Carlisle. Cook played the last game of his initial stay in Saturday's home win over Bury and the two clubs are in talks over the 21-year-old's future.
"I had a loan at Walsall last year and it was a case of trying to help them to fight for every point, so to be at a club where they're pushing for the Championship brings a totally different atmosphere to the place.
"We want to get there and if we can achieve it then it will be top class. It would be fantastic to be part of it for a bit longer." "It's going to take a few days to sort out what happens from here. As far as I'm concerned if I'm playing and scoring goals then I don't see why I shouldn't stay on," Cook told Carlisle's official club website.
