Cook: Bournemouth will be motivated for Liverpool away

Bournemouth defender Steve Cook is looking forward to the clash with Liverpool at Anfield on Monday night.

The 24-year-old centre-back believes the clash against the Premier League heavyweights is a perfect opportunity for the Cherries to make a statement following the opening day defeat against Aston Villa.

"I am really looking forward to the match," he told afcb.co.uk.

"It's going to be a very tough test, but these are the games you work so hard to play in. If you can't get motivated for Liverpool away, then you shouldn't be playing football.

"They [Liverpool] obviously pose a huge attacking threat. Every single player they've got is world class, so it's going to be a big game for the whole team. We have to defend from the front and be resolute.

"We can definitely take confidence from last Saturday, though. We didn't look out of place at all so hopefully we can build on that and get a result."
