Gianfranco Zola has hinted he's taking over at West Ham after Italy U21's clash with Croatia last night.

The Italy U21 assistant coach is expected to take over from Alan Curbishley this week after Roberto Donadoni formally withdrew his nomination for the role.

"I did not want to talk about West Ham up until now out of respect for the Federation, as I owe them so much because they gave me the opportunity to have this extraordinary experience. I will decide tomorrow and then I will talk."
