Wigan boss Hutchings: I can handle job pressure

Wigan boss Chris Hutchings is not worried by the pressure he is under at the JJB Stadium as he has "always had confidence in his own ability".

Hutchings is no longer the favourite to be the first Premier League boss to lose his job and the former Bradford chief admits he is enjoying his second coming as a manager following an ill-fated spell at Valley Parade seven years ago.

"We are lucky enough to do something that we love to do," he said. "Pressure is about people being out of work and having three kids at home and not knowing where the next meal is coming from and where they are going to get clothes on their back.

"There is pressure, but it's part and parcel of the job. There are plenty of other pressures you could do without and this is one where you just get on and handle it.

"I have always had confidence in my own ability and faith in the players I have brought in and the players that were already here.

"We have just got to make sure we keep our heads down, work extremely hard and get the results on the pitch. We've had two wins and we have got to make sure we build on that."
