West Ham striker Carlton Cole has been called up to a 20-man Nigeria squad despite being ineligible to play for the country.

Cole was a regular member of England's Under-21 squad and under Fifa guidelines players who represent one country at junior level are allowed to switch to another country provided if they are under the age of 21. But Cole will turn 25 in November and is set to have his debut blocked.
