West Brom willing to cash in on Beattie

West Brom boss Tony Mowbray is prepared to sell striker Craig Beattie.

"I've had no contact with Preston and no conversations with Alan (Irvine, Preston boss) since last season," said Mowbray. "Craig is fit and working hard in the hope he can force his way into the thinking.

"I've had no conversations about any players going out. We're trying to get them in at the moment. But as we bring new players in, players will be looking around and seeing if they're going to get an opportunity.

"I would suggest there will be a natural evolution of the team really. People will enquire about players and then I will make decisions about where we're going to be." "Everyone has got an opportunity but ultimately footballers get a feel of whether they're going to be a part of something or not."
