West Brom boss Tony Mowbray has denied reports he has approached Lens about the possible signing of Aruna Dindane, but wouldn't rule out a loan deal in the future. "I'm not sure where this came from," Mowbray told the Birmingham Mail. "I've heard about four or five other names we're supposed to be linked with.
"Aruna Dindane has been out for eight months with a cruciate ligament injury and hasn't kicked a ball.
"We talk about lots of players and his name would have been mentioned but, categorically, there has been no contact between the football clubs."
However, he might consider an approach for the Ivory Coast international in the future.
"Is it right that we would take him on loan? Well let's see what he does over the next few months," added Mowbray.
"We are at a stage where we're trying to identify players. No deals have been done for any player. He's a long shot - wild card."
