Ruud van Nistelrooy has insisted he has no plans to retire from international football following Holland's Euro 2008 exit.
The Dutch departed this summer's tournament at the quarter-final stage after they were defeated by an impressive Russia side.
The exit confirmed 37-year-old goalkeeper Edwin van der Sar's retirement, but van Nistelrooy has no intention of following his compatriot.
"I don't see a single reason to quit," the 31-year-old striker said.
Meanwhile, defender Giovanni van Bronckhorst has explained that he will consider his international future once he has shaken off the heartache of Holland's loss to Russia.
"First I have to take everything into consideration. The loss to Russia is still too fresh in the mind," van Bronckhorst said.
