Real Valladolid defender Alexis has revealed how former Levante teammate Alvaro Maior used to arrive at training last season out-of-sorts after a heavy night on the town.

Alexis said: "We all like to party, but that is not professional. I chastised him for his attitude as captain because not only is it important to play well on the pitch, but also to be professional off it. It did not affect his form, but I did not see this as good behavior."
