Matthew Upson is confident of West Ham's finances after comments made by manager Gianfranco Zola last week.
Zola revealed he had been given assurances by chief executive Scott Duxbury that the Hammers were healthy and Upson told Sky Sports: "For the manager to come out with that comment is very reassuring.
"We don't know the full ins and outs of the financial situation at the club with people presuming it is in trouble due to the current crisis.
"It is an interesting one, but as a player it is not something I would focus on."
