The Korean post was vacant from the end of July 2007 to late December of the same year.
"Last December, before Huh Jung-moo was appointed as national team boss, coach Terim revealed his ambition to take over the South Korean coaching job," a source close to the Korean Football Association (KFA) told Sports Seoul.
"The KFA sometimes receives offers from interested parties but wanted to find the new coach themselves."
