Sullivan defends Birmingham summer transfer policy

David Sullivan has defended Birmingham City's summer transfer policy.

In his programme notes for last Saturday's defeat at home to West Ham, the co-owner defended Blues' transfer market activity. In fees they have spent around a net £8million on 10 players, but he said the commitment was £23million, including wages, or £50million adding all the wages together for the length of contracts.

"Please be aware that for every one player we have signed this summer there have been three aborted deals," he insisted.
