St Mirren realistic on SPL survival

"The truth is that we are not good enough to think that there's no way we could be relegated," the Buddies assistant manager told the Paisley Daily Express.

"When you start thinking that way, you're in trouble."

The 43-year-old continued: "Our players will know we'll have to work as hard as we possibly can next season because it's our job to progress this club in the right direction and, so far, we've done that.

"The players who came up from the First Division with us will remember how they felt when they first played in The SPL, and the guys at Hamilton Accies will experience that exact same feeling next season.

"I know Billy Reid very well and I can assure everyone that Hamilton will have a well-organised team, and they'll be a club that will do okay in The SPL."
