South Korea striker Lee settled at Middlesbrough

The South Korea international is beginning to impress for Boro and told the club's website: "At first, I felt very unsettled in a new country, with new people, a new team and a new life. But now I feel better about my life here. I can understand a lot more English now and I can speak more easily about things.

"I always get encouragement from the other players. They usually help me with my English when I get stuck. The atmosphere in the dressing room is great and I never feel left out.

"I think Premier League games are played at a fast tempo. You have to think very quickly when you play. It is tough and there is lot of physical contact. I understand a lot more about the league now and how to play in it."

Manager Gareth Southgate said: "Lee realises he has to perform now. We are looking for him to take a step up."
