Lincoln have parted company with manager John Schofield and director of football John Deehan with immediate effect.
The board of the League Two club have moved to make a change after Sunday's 4-0 defeat at MK Dons left the Red Imps in the drop zone and with just two wins from 11 games this season.
Youth team coach Grant Brown has been placed in caretaker charge ahead of Saturday's clash with Peterborough and will remain at the helm until a full-time appointment is made.
A statement on the club's official website read: "Following a meeting of the board to review the recent poor run of results, it was agreed that both John Schofield and John Deehan would relinquish their duties with Lincoln City football club with immediate effect.
"Both have worked tirelessly to bring playing success to the club and it is with regret of all parties that this has not resulted in better results.
"Because of this, the board have decided that it is best to make changes now while there is time to turn the season around."
