Ross County's Barrowman targeted by SPL clubs

Ross County goal machine Andy Barrowman is mulling over a number of 'concrete' offers from SPL clubs.

The 23-year-old striker has 22 goals to his name this season for second division County and is eyeing up a move to the top league when his contract expires in the summer.

"I have concrete offers from a few clubs at a higher level and I believe I can play at SPL level and I want the chance to prove that to everyone," Barrowman said .

"Hopefully I will get that chance, if not now, in the future."

Barrowman admitted he could yet stay at Victoria Park if a deal fails to materialise.

"It is not done and dusted I am leaving and I am very grateful to Dick Campbell, who was manager when I first joined, George Adams and Derek Adams - I have a lot to thank them for.

"I have thoroughly enjoyed my time at the club and there are a great bunch of lads here. We are all around the same age and there is a close togetherness in the squad.

"It is looking like we will go up if we keep playing as we have and if I am at Ross County next year I won't be disappointed at all."

The forward has been linked with a move to Inverness and Caley boss Craig Brewster revealed he is interested.

"I have stated before Barrowman is a player we are looking at and that has not changed. There are a lot of players coming out of contract and it is a case of trying to see as many games as possible.

"All of the club's coaching staff will be out at the weekend covering games. All we have to do is identify areas of the park we need to strengthen and see who is available.

"Sometimes you can be lucky going in early for a player and sometimes you can be lucky waiting until the last minute.

"Sometimes you go after players and maybe their demands are too great, every manager encounters these problems no matter which club you are at.

"Andy has stated he will leave Ross County in the summer and it is up to him to decide where best for him the future will be."
