Premier League chairman Sir David Richards admits he fears for his job.

The Telegraph says Richards has privately admitted that he could lose his job following remarks about the damage that England's elite clubs have done to the national team.

Last night he appeared to be left isolated by the organisation's chief executive, Richard Scudamore, who said that his views directly contradicted the Premier League line.
