Peterborough's Lewis delighted with England experience

Peterborough United goalkeeper Joe Lewis was delighted to be on England's bench for last night's 2-0 friendly victory over the USA.

Lewis has enjoyed his spell with the country's elite and told Posh's official website: "It has been a whirlwind for me to be honest, but I am enjoying every minute of it.

"It has been superb working with the players in the squad. David James has been there and done it at the top level throughout his career and to see him in training is a great learning curve for me because he is a real perfectionist."

The youngster continued: "Whatever happens in Trinidad, this has all capped off a fantastic season for me and stands me in great stead for next year."
