Currently sidelined with injury, South Korea international Park said: "Our team has obviously acquired many good players in the transfer market.

"Nani plays in the same position as me, but I don't expect to lose out should we have to compete.

"I know what [the new players] are going through, as I went through the same process two years ago," he continued.

"I will do my best to compete with them and strengthen my role with the team.

"I will play in fewer games because of the injury, but I will make sure that my contributions will have improved quality."
