Omonoia Nicosia willing to cash in on Arsenal, Man Utd target Christofi

The 19-year-old broke the Cypriot transfer record when he moved from Enosis Neon Paralimni to Omonoia just last month.

Omonoia could more than triple their money with a figure of £3 million being rumoured for the left-footed forward, who has only just joined up with his new team for pre-season training.

The club has revealed there has been no official contact or offer made for the player from any club, but that they would not stand in his way of moving abroad and onto bigger things, using the money generated from the transfer to rebuild their squad.

"We will not stand in his way," declared the club's president. "We will use the money to strengthen the team for the start of the new season. However nothing official has been received."
