West Ham-mad Mark Noble says fans can be excited about what is happening at the club.

England U21 midfielder Noble said: "We signed some good players in the summer. Scotty Parker is a great player along with Bellers and Freddie Ljungberg.

"I was a bit surprised at all the players coming in. I was lying on the beach trying to chill out after the Euro Championships and kept getting text messages about who we've signed. All I was concentrating on was the beach and what was walking past but it was great news all the same.

"Staying up was probably the best time in my career. It was a great occasion for me and my family, being West Ham fans. We just hope people do not put us under too much pressure. The boys are new together and we've got to gel - it ain't going to click together in the first season.

"We want to be in the top 10 this season and really crack on next season for the European places. We've got the money, the squad. We've got all the foundations to be a top team. It's a good time for West Ham and the sky's the limit."
