Mark McGhee is staying with Motherwell.

Hearts had been refused permission by Motherwell to speak with McGhee over the managerial vacancy at Tynecastle.

"The club are delighted that it has successfully concluded negotiations with Mark," said a statement on the club website.

"He remains as manager, and we are looking forward to next season."
