Holland goalkeeper Edwin van der Sar admits his side weren't good enough as they crashed out of Euro 2008 at the hands of Russia, in the shot-stopper's final ever game for his country.
Van der Sar, 37, made a record 128 appearances for his country - the first of which came in 1994 under Guus Hiddink, who was in charge of the Russia side who masterminded the Dutch demise this evening.
"We were not good enough to beat this Russian side," admitted van der Sar.
"One has to admit it, they played fantastically well. It is really a pity to leave the tournament in this way after having started so brilliantly.
"Now, we have to confront the future. But it will be without me. This evening, one shouldn't criticise anybody, it isn't the time to point fingers at anybody."
