Levante's Cirillo: Italy can learn from Spanish Liga fans

Levante's defender Bruno Cirillo says he's enjoyed his time in Spain, despite the club being at the bottom of the table.

Cirillo, a Bosman transfer from AEK Athens, said: "My experience in Spain is generally positive. Here football is seen as a game. On Sundays we go to the stadium and win or lose, it ends there. There is no violence in stadiums and the worst thing is they wave a white handkerchief as a sign of protest.

"My hope is that we (Italy) will soon have the same mentality. It is a pity because the Serie A championship remains the most technical and competitive in the world."

Cirillo also admitted to Tuttomercatoweb that he hoped to make a return to Serie A: "I have a little dream: to return to play in Italy. For three years now, I have been on tour outside the country, and frankly, now want to return."
