Skysports.com reports that Leicester have turned down a bid from a mystery Premier League club for starlet Joe Mattock.

Mattock is regarded as one of the brightest young prospects in the country and made his debut for Leicester last season at the age of 16.

The young defender has attracted the interest of a host of top flight clubs with scouts from several sides watching him in action this season.

Mattock, who has already broken into the England Under-21 set-up, has established himself as a key member of the Leicester side.

The unnamed Premier League club are believed to have tabled a seven-figure bid for Mattock, but Leicester have rejected it as they are keen to keep hold of the 17-year-old.
