After fighting off a late bid from fellow SPL outfit Hamilton Accies, boss Jim Jefferies sung the praises of his latest capture.

"Conor has a good presence in the air and that's what we need at the moment," said Jefferies.

"I've been very impressed with him at training. He's quick and can hold the ball up really well. With his size he can be a target man and a goalscorer.

"He's still young, so he'll be better still in years to come."
