Newcastle caretaker coach Chris Hughton is hoping for more from Spanish youngster Xisco.

Xisco struck his first Premiership goal in Toon's defeat to Hull last week and Hughton said: "Xisco's goal against Hull was very much a positive for us. It allowed us to rally and have the finish we did.

"He's a smashing lad. His English is reasonably good. He's an international player, and I think the goal certainly meant a lot to him, and more for the team."
