Birmingham City have made a final £2.5million take-it-or-leave-it bid for Hibs fullback David Murphy.
As part of the final offer, Hibs will pocket £500,000 if Murphy helps Birmingham hold on to their Premiership this season, says the Daily Record.
The only stumbling block to an agreement being reached last night was Hibs' insistence that all of the transfer fee is paid up front.
But it's understood they will reluctantly accept Birmingham's proposal to pay in three separate installments.
