Collins, who is contracted to Hibs until 2009, admitted there had been contact between Loftus Road and Easter Road, but insisted that he had no intention of terminating his agreement before it had run its course.

"There was something," said Collins, "but it was just a phone call. But that's done, it's in the past and it won't be happening. I have a job to do here and I intend to see it through. My contract covers the rest of this season and the following year.

"I never broke a contract during my playing career, and I've no intention of doing so now."
