Collins fully expects any contact to come from his own club chairman Rod Petrie who is a member of the SFA board of directors.
"I haven't been contacted by anyone else and I don't think the SFA would go about their business that way," said Collins. "I know as much about it as you guys do, it's speculation. I'm sure if the SFA are interested, then my chairman will be the first to find out as he is involved with them.
"Anyone is going to be flattered to be linked with the national team job and I'm no different."
