Birmingham City chairman David Gold admits he wants to stay with the club as Carson Yeung's takeover appears doomed.
It was suggested when Alex McLeish was appointed as the club's new manager last week that developments had slowed considerably.
Gold revealed the odds on the deal taking place had "lengthened considerably" and now Sullivan has claimed he would be happy to stay at St Andrews.
"I'd imagine we'd still be here on December 25," he told Sky Sports.
"I'd genuinely like to stay now because we've got renewed enthusiasm and we hope all the supporters get behind the new manager."
