The 26-year-old struggled to hold down a regular place in the Hearts side due to a string of niggling injuries.
Hearts sport director Anatoly Korobochka paid tribute to the Frenchman for his contribution to the club including winning the Scottish Cup in 2006.
"We would like to wish Ibrahim the very best of fortune for the future," Korobochka told the club's official website.
"He suffered a spell with injury but showed his professionalism and remained completely focused on the job at Hearts.
"He has served the club well in the last three years and will, I am sure, be a valuable asset to another club.
"As a Scottish Cup winner with Hearts he is sure to be always regarded fondly by the majority of the supporters and deservedly so."
