Johan Elmander admits he feels the pressure of expectation from Bolton fans.
"Of course there is pressure on me," he told the official club website. "I was brought here to score goals and the fans will be expecting me to score those goals so I need to make sure I do so.
"I know people are expecting me to fill the shoes of Nicolas Anelka, but it's going to be difficult because he is a very good player.
"We both play very different though, and I just want to play my own game and do my best for the club."
The Sweden international, however, admitted it was relief to get his Bolton career off to a goalscoring start.
He added: "It's always nice to score goals when you are new in the team, and it was good to get off the mark in my first game for the club."
