Birmingham City goalkeeper Colin Doyle admits being axed for Maik Taylor this season has left him "devastated".

"I was devastated," said Doyle. "I wasn't happy maybe for a week or so, to be honest. In training, I wasn't my usual self. I wouldn't say I was moaning, but I wasn't training to my normal standards.

"I know now that I have just got to work even harder and be ready if I do get my chance again."
