Newcastle's defensive signing Lamine Diatta believes the club have enough skill and experience to avoid relegation.

"The club are not in a good position at the moment," the 32-year-old said. "I want to do all I can to help. This club has enough good players to avoid relegation and I'm sure we will do that."
