Daniel De Ridder was delighted with the standing ovation from Birmingham fans after his performance in Saturday's 3-2 defeat of Wigan.
He said: "I felt really at home. I just tried to contribute with the things I had in my locker and I'm very glad the fans have appreciated that.
"It's been a matter of patience. It can be frustrating, but I know that in football you just have to wait for your chance and I have done that. I'm 100 per cent fit right now.
"It can be very frustrating when you get injured on the first day. It was an ankle injury. I think Lampard kicked me from behind, I don't know if it was on purpose, but my ankle made a very strange move and I felt it was wrong."
