Coventry are confident a takeover of the crisis-stricken club will go through "in the near future".
The Championship side are around £38million in debt and have been linked with a possible takeover by former footballer Ray Ranson.
A statement on the club's official website read: "Coventry City can confirm that the club is hopeful of a positive outcome to the possible takeover in the near future.
"Talks are continuing with interested parties and the club is also finalising discussions with existing shareholders, who are integral to the outcome of any deal."
