USL club Cleveland City Stars have established with Kenyan Premiership club World Hope FC, now known as Nairobi City Stars. The new owners of the Nairobi City Stars have tied to Cleveland.

"There is no money changing hands here," Pastor Charles Macharia, the former World Hope FC chairman, told local media. "It is only that we wanted to concentrate core activities," he added in regards to the City Stars commitment to developing the community as well as its players.
