Chelsea's Cole: I've forgotten Mourinho

He said: "There's no room for sentiment because things can be very in and out. Players come and go, managers and coaches come and go, so you have to learn to take care of yourself.

"A lot has happened at the club this season. But football's a game that is always moving so you can never stand still. The bottom line is that a new manager has come in with new ideas, new coaches and a new way of playing.

"So the only thing we can do is focus on taking in everything he wants us to do and then try to put it into practice on the pitch. I'm never happy. But that's my character. I always have to fight to push myself.

"I'm pleased that we've been winning but I still feel there's more to come from me.

"People have been telling me I'm doing well and that's pleasing to hear. It's just that I'm always looking for more. That's the attitude you need to have to perform at the top level.

"Whenever I slip into feeling that I'm doing really well my form drops, so I have to fight against it."
