"We need three new faces before the season starts," said Reid.
"One is no good, it has to be three."
Working on a tight budget is making it tough to bring in new faces.
"While talking to a couple of the Huddersfield people I discovered some of their players are on £6000 a week and they're in Coca-Cola Division One," he added.
"How am I supposed to compete with that? I can only dream of having that money.
"Being in The Premier League has made it easier for us, but footballers want to be paid well.
"I'm working hard to increase the squad and the chairman has made money available."
