Blackburn's Pedersen admits relief after ending goals drought

Blackburn winger Morten Gamst Pedersen has voiced his relief after ending his Premier League goal drought.

Pedersen netted in the 90th minute of Rovers' 4-1 victory over Bolton on Sunday for his first league goal since last February.

The Norway international had made a name for himself as a goalscoring midfielder until his barren run and he hopes his latest effort will set him up for the rest of the season.

"It was a good feeling because it's been a while since I last scored in the league," Pedersen told the Lancashire Telegraph.

"I've scored a couple in the cups, and a few for my national team, but in the league it has been a while, and it's always good to score, especially when we managed to put in a good performance as a team as well.

"I've hit almost everything; the crossbar; the post; people.

"But today I hit the target and it's a good feeling. Hopefully, I can get a few more now."
