The Omani international is in the last year of his contract at Bolton and looks unlikely to extend his deal. "I understand an offer has been made, but neither club has as yet confirmed that or spoken with me," Al-Habsi's agent Peter Harrison told skysports.com.
"A number of Premier League clubs have asked about Ali and there is no shortage of interest, so news of a bid is not at all surprising.
"It is now up to Bolton, but we would hope that they would allow Ali the chance to move on."
Wanderers had wanted to talk over a new deal, but Harrison insists there have been no discussions and none are planned.
"We have not had any talks with Bolton this summer, they have not been in touch and we are not planning any," Harrison added.
