Birmingham chairman Gold remains supportive of Premiership global push

Birmingham City chairman David Gold remains supportive of the Premiership's plans of an international round of games.

Gold said: "I recognise there are issues but I still see merit in the idea and I still believe it is more likely to happen than not.

"And if it were successful it could be extended by another three or four matches abroad.

"Globalisation of football is a fact and I don't understand all the fuss on this. It seems to be an anti-wealth thing."
