Birmingham City boss Alex McLeish insists midfielder Mehdi Nafti is in his long-term plans.

He said: "Nafti started really well for me, I really like him. He has been out of the team because he's been away in the Africa Nations Cup. The irony was that we didn't play particularly well in that period, especially away, and he could have been useful to us."
