Birmingham City boss Alex McLeish hopes to sign West Ham midfielder Nigel Quashie on-loan.

"I would like something to happen with this but we'll have to see if there's been any reaction to the tough training he's been doing," said McLeish.

"He's been out for a long time and has picked up a few niggles. Nigel's still training with us and we can see he's got a lot of quality, but he's still got a little more fitness to find."
