Beslija set for Hearts return

The Bosnian winger, an £800,000 signing from Genk in January 2006, was loaned out for the season after a string of injury problems, which have continued in Belgium.

And, with a reported weekly wage of £9,000 also putting off any potential suitors, the 28-year-old is likely to remain in Edinburgh for the final year of his contract.

Sint-Truiden president Roland Duchatelet told the Evening News: "He is too expensive for us. His wages are very high and that is just one of the problems.

"I think he will go back to Scotland at the end of the season.

"It's a matter of money because there would also be a transfer fee involved if we wanted to keep Mirsad."
