Bayern Munich's Toni wants Serie A return

"I have scored 99 Serie A goals and I'd like to get to 100," the 31-year-old told Zeit. "But there's lots of time because I have another five or six years to play."

"When I started this new adventure I thought that living everywhere was pretty much the same.

"But that isn't the case. In Munich everything is really perfect - clean, orderly and safe. I wish people were as safe in my hometown of Modena."

Toni concluded by discussing his attempts to understand the German language.

"Am I fluent? Not at all," he laughed. "After training I am tired and I have engagements for the sponsors and travelling to do rather than learning the language.

"To learn you need more than just time, you need to be in the right mindset and it just isn't a priority. However, I understand perfectly when people insult me in the stadium."
