"It can be said that the team has appeared to have collapsed in the last month," said Aguirre afterwards. "It is irrefutable and undeniable that we are out of the Copa del Rey and the UEFA Cup.
"But we are in the mix for the top four of the Liga, that is our objective and we have fourteen games to hold this position in the table and to even improve it.
"I have to work until June 30. That is how long I have on my contract.
"I speak with three people from the club: the president, the director and sport director. The three transmit their total support to me, in the good times and the bad."
